Studio Green has decided to postpone the release of their Siruthai, featuring Karthi and Tamanna and directed by Siva.

The film which was originally slated for release in December first week has now been shifted to Pongal.

Many see it as a smart move by producer K Gnanavelraja and his Studio Green. December is going to be the toughest month to get theatres in Tamil Nadu as biggies like Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu and Vijay's Kaavalan are due for release. Pongal 2011 will not have big superstar films.

Siruthai is Karthi's first remake film and a pucca action oriented film in which he plays a dual role of a thief and a policeman.

It is remake of hit Telugu director SS Rajamouli's Ravi Teja- Anushka film Vikramakurudu. The film has music by Vidyasagar.
