Mani Sharma speaks about Sura MusicWhile speaking to the media music composer Mani Sharma shared with the media about composing music for Vijay starrer Sura. He said,” Even today people watch TV the songs from Vijay starrer Shah Jahan and enjoy it.
After seeing these songs they immediately speak to me over phone and appreciate me. In similar way the song Sakarai Nilave from the film Youth is still popular. After Pokkiri I am now composingmusic for the film Sura which has Vijay in the lead. There is good lot of understanding between us. This has helped to bring out the Sura’s songs well.
Normally there will be importance for Kuthu songs in Vijay films but there is no importance for Kuthu songs in this film. There is only one Kuthu song in this film. The usual opening song will not be in this film. But we have kept the song Vetri Kodi as the title song.
The theme song is Tamizhan, Veera Tamizhan. There will lot of melody even in these songs. Many are asking why this change, the reasons for this change is audience always look for changes. So if we give them different kind ofmusic, they will enjoy. Vijay and S P Rajkumar are the reasons for this change.
There are some interesting scenes in this film. Whenever I compose the back ground music, Vijay use to come to my studio. After listening to the BG music Vijay simply hugged me and appreciated me.”
