Karthi has confirmed that he is doing a dual role for the first time in his career in ‘Siruthai’, his forthcoming film. “It is an emotional movie which will be packed commercially”, he says.On his double role, he says, “Both characters are strikingly different from each other and give me ample scope for performance. As an actor, I am really happy to take up the challenge in Siruthai.”
Cinematographer-turned-director Shiva will wield the megaphone for ‘Siruthai’, which will be produced by K E Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green. Tamanna, Karthi’s lady love in ‘Paiya’, will romance him once again in this movie.
On his roping in by a top telecom company as its brand ambassador, the actor says, “This shows the faith they have in me. Otherwise, it would not have been possible for a four-film old actor”.
